For the past many years, Vietnamese Scout leaders from across the country have requested the BSA to conduct a Wood Badge course for the Vietnamese Scouters. On December 5, 2000, we have received the approval from the Southern Region, BSA to conduct this special Wood Badge course (#SR-430) for our Scout leaders.

The course will be held at Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation, West Palm Beach, Florida, June 2-9, 2001. Invitation and application will be available in January 2001. Please keep checking our web sites for up-to-date information.

I would like to ask for your support to make this course a successful one and hopefully we can continue in the future with other training courses. Some of you might ask. How can I support? You can support by doing the following:

Promote the course (note: this is the BSA new 21^st Century WB course)

Encourage those have taken the old WB course to attend this new one.

Encourage those whose have not attended BSA WB course to attend.

Be positive and supportive as we move forward with the planning process.

This courses will increase the number of Vietnamese trained leaders from across the country, which in turn provides a pool of Vietnamese trainers for local council’s to utilize as they go forward to roll out the new 21^st Century Wood Badge Course in the next few years.
